I was cruising along with the top down reading this story and then … Woooo.. Braking for pedestrians…. Oh? okay, the story just ended abruptly. So now let me start from the beginning of the story. Chante Chambers favorite tune was a Chante Moore song, and she was having a time finding her very own man. Her boss was her ex and the man she’d been sleeping with. The sad thing about that, Jason would not recognize fidelity if it was engraved in his forehead. In the story with them around one another It felt hot and heavy. Jason and Chante had a compassionate and strong connection that for some reason they could not stay away from one another. Chante started dating sexy and handsome owner of Pretty Boy Records, Keith Simmons. Once their relationship started, it was hot and heavy from the first encounter.. As a greedy man would have it, Jason was not satisfied with leaving Chante alone. Side note* The author did a fantastic job of letting us see the flaws within both Jason and Chante’s character. The sex was like a nice romantic episode on TV.. I was appalled when Chante started fooling around with both Keith and Jason.. I knew this little lapse in judgement would lead to something down the road. The backstory with Chante’s friends and enemies added more drama. A good old-fashioned cat fight ramps up a story. A few times I wanted a little hair pulling, and b-slapping to add to the hype. Was it just me so did Chante’s therapy session seem like they were Ripped from Headlines- Zane style.. That session each time reminded me of her book and movie Addicted… William Levy was so hot in his role.. Oh sorry… I digress.. Chante’s sessions with Dr Blue were spot on with Zane’s story, but it was okay. This section fit the purpose of the story. I was not quite satisfied with the abrupt ending. Did Keith and Chante make it, what was the outcome with Jason’s dilemma… This was a nice story, It just needed closure or some semblance thereof.
