What can I say about You Make Me Better by Ashley Nicole? Nothing short of amazing! I absolutely loved this book! I love Kallie and Nathan. I loved the angle that the author took in developing the storyline. I loved the chemistry and the good old fashioned love story between Kallie and Nathan.
When I first started reading this novel, I was asking myself, “Where is she going with this? (Not in a bad way)” But as I read on, I saw that the author wanted to show how a woman could love a man through his darkness, and ultimately, out of his darkness. Whenever the author talked about Nathan’s past, I felt the same emotions he felt. Hurt, anger, and bitterness were the only emotions that Nathan knew. But when he met Kallie, he immediately felt emotions that he was not familiar with. Ashley Nicole does a phenomenal job of pulling her readers into this novel. You feel Nathan’s desire, longing, and need for Kallie. You will laugh, be frustrated, and maybe even shed a few tears.
Overall, I would give You Make Me Better by Ashley Nicole a solid 5. You don’t see many novels where the main male character has a lot of emotional baggage. I think readers will enjoy reading about how much our man need our love, encouragement, and support.
