Miriam Nicholson’s work at the Women’s Crisis Clinic was where she endeavored to save the lives of the women and children the foundation served. In conjunction with the St. Hillaire Foundation, the Crisis Clinic’s fundraising efforts helped to keep the Center viable. Through a client-centered crisis at the Center, Miriam learned a lot about herself, her past, and her future. She discovered that she carried baggage she wasn’t willing to put down, not even for a guy who held so much promise. As the vice president of the St. Hillaire Foundation, Jamaar St. Hillaire’s primary focus was offering and managing fundraising efforts. He had always worked in the background until he crossed paths with Miriam Nicholson. Her charm and unintentional wit warmed Jamaar in ways that went beyond a professional relationship. Still, nothing would steer Jamaar from pursuing the possibility of love with her – even if it was Miriam herself that he had to convince.
