The story was a prodigious romantic suspense novel. The author went all out with the plot and strategy in this rendition. The story additionally featured a medically complex condition for the main character. Simeon’s condition was revealed and tackled in a well-researched piece of work. Mental health issues are still taboo for many Black families, so it was nice to see the way the story focused on the main characters health issues and the treatment process. Additionally, the author did an excellent job with the plot and the mystery behind all the lies and the secrets surrounding Simeon. Kade’s back story kept readers on edge. Simeon’s brother Richard and his girlfriend Meris added a lot more drama and plot to the storyline. The story was a delightful mystery with an emotional component. The story is highly recommended and a must-read. 4.8 Stars.
