Born and raised in the inner city of Miami, FL (Carol City), I’ve always loved books! I write African American romance with an urban twist. My books range from short and sweet to gritty and steamy. It is my goal to produce loveable and relatable characters that reflect healthy relationships and growth. I love to read and I love creating my own stories.

I grew up in the busy streets of Philadelphia, and attended schools in the neighboring suburbs. I always struggled with being labeled as not “hood enough” for the streets, or “proper enough” for the suburbs. I never quite fit in with either crowd, so I found solace between the pages of my journal, releasing my innermost thoughts and penning my every desire. My passion for capturing my emotions turned into creating magnetic stories of Black love from the feelings that stirred deep within. I went from penning in my journal to creating soul stirring stories of Black love with an urban twist. Finally finding the courage to share my love of writing with the world, I released my debut novel in July of 2020.
Jenay Balderas is a Ft. Worth Texas native with a passion for words. She now resides in Del Rio Texas. She has many pass times including baking, journaling and minding her own business. She has recently discovered a new found hobby of recreating recipes she sees online. He Wasn’t Good Enough for Me was the first book that she penned but it definitely will not be the last for Jenay. Now that she is an independent author, she wants to immerse herself in other genres and unique storylines. Asia Monique is a passionate author and script writer from Detroit, Michigan. Growing up, Asia had a fixation with books and words, which would eventually grow into a passion for film and literature. She obtained a bachelor’s degree in Creative Writing for Entertainment from Full Sail University. Asia creates love stories that shine a positive light on black men, women, and black love as a whole.
