Carlotta Ardell is an engineer, professor, researcher, speaker, and author. However, her most important roles are being a Christian, mother to her daughter, Kennedy, and wife to her husband, William. She has many technical publications and a book on multidisciplinary robotics.
During the 2020 pandemic and summer of social justice, she was inspired to work with other Black Women engineering professors to become a fiction book author. Engineering has a marketing problem and there has been a longstanding need to amplify, normalize and promote Black Women in STEM as they navigate through their everyday lives. Out of this mission, Catalyst Chronicles and First Responder Fairytales was born.

I explore the themes of Womanhood, identity, love, loss and family through poetry, fiction and creative nonfiction. My writing has a vulnerability and honesty that resonates with readers. Through my unique lens, I tell the untold stories of mothers, sisters, daughters, friends and wives. My debut novel, Love At Second Sight is a romance-ish novel. I have a series of poetry books publishing soon. WIP include a YA novel, a spin-off of my debut and a “pocket book” of personal reflections for women experiencing or who will experience menopause, with a side of humor.

I write under the pen name Ara Moore. Ara Moore was my grandmother, she was my hero and best friend and the epitome of the “StrongBlack Woman”. To honor her memory I write about black women who live a life of ease while being loved and protected by the black men who love them. I write sweet and contemporary romance with a little bit of spice. My favorite tropes are Second Chance and Friends to Lovers.
Growing up in 90’s Brooklyn, NY, Treasure Malian’s passion for writing began at a young age. Inspired by her environment, she was able to capture the beauty and pain of growing up in that era, through her lens. A passion that while initially was only a spark, ignited into a full-blown flame after her tenure at Lincoln University and St. Francis College, where she studied undergrad, with the intent on becoming a lawyer.
The inability to escape the gnawing desire to write led her to write and publish her first #1 Bestselling Series “Power Trip” Over twenty novels later, Treasure is still capturing the experiences and emotions that come with the complexities of black love in her stories.
